Welcome to Burns Mental

What Is a Nexus Letter?

A Nexus letter is a big part of your VA disability claim. It DIRECTLY CONNECTS a medical/mental health condition to military service, which is very important.

For Mental Health conditions ( PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, etc), Nexus letters should be written by a  doctor, and explain why the condition should be service connected.

The Nexus letter is a key piece that often prevents Veterans from getting their VA benefits. Don’t let this happen to you.

What Should a Nexus Letter Contain?

1. The records that the doctor reviewed ex Service, Private, VA

2.The doctor’s medical opinion stating why the condition should be service connected.

3.The medical rationale that supports the doctors opinion.

4.The doctors are of expertise and credential.
